There are many ways to obtain funding for an author's visit and/or writing workshop. A school PTO or enrichment council may offer funding, or a local business may want to contribute to a special event. ​        BOOK SALES: Most publishers offer discounts to schools who host authors, and by selling books to students/families for more than the discounted price, you can pay for the visiting author's presentations and/or workshops.
